Government Polytechnic, Adityapur is among one of the 17 Polytechnics in Jharkhand founded to groom the technical manpower and contribute to our state and country through excellence in scientific and technical education. It was established in the year 1980, by the Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of Bihar., to promote the academic growth among the tribal community in particular and to serve as a valuable resource for industry and society in general. After bifurcation from Bihar on 14th November, 2000, this institute is currently inching new heights everyday under the efficient guidance of Department of Higher, Technical Education & Skill Development, Government of Jharkhand.. The Institute is totally funded by the state government.

PRINCIPLE MESSAGE

This is the era of liberalization, privatization and globalization. The need of the hour is training individuals in dynamic way and make them to face different challenges thrown up by rapidly changing socio-economic technical scenario at the Global level. The Younger Generation must strive to develop into a well rounded personality with excellent Technical, Managerial, interpersonal and communication skills poised at the cutting-edge of Technology. In this context, Government Polytechnic, Adityapur is using it's best effort to impart technical training on the base of holistic approach. I am happy to be a part of this Dynamic and Vibrant Institute of Department of Higher, Technical Education & Skill Development, Government of Jharkhand.strong My endeavor is to introduce a pioneering course of growth to achieve the height of excellence and become an important force to recon with in the field of Technical education Vision global Scenario.

Admission is taken on the basis of list of candidates received from JCECEB within a specified period with relevant documents, Certificates and Fees etc.
FACULTIES
The Government Polytechic Adityapur has a well-established Library for students and the teaching staff. The college is having spacious central workshops.
PLACEMENT
Placement Cell is an integral part of the institute. The institute has provided complete infrastructure for effective functioning of the cell.
